4 hr residential smoke detection class 24-25

 This course is required for burglar alarm license renewal and also applicable for fire alarm licensees and NICET.  We cover applicable sections of the IRC 2021 NJ Edition and NFPA 72 2022 edition including several new requirements

NJ Uniform Construction Code Updated 2024/25

 This course satisfies the NJ State Licensing RENEWAL Requirement for 2 hours of training in the Uniform Construction Code for Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Licensees.  The course explains the relationship to adopted standards, an overview of the permit and inspection process and the responsibility of the Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith contractor relative to all these requirements.  

NJ Laws and Rules of the Trade 2024-25

 This course satisfies the requirements for Licensee to complete 2 hours in the laws and regulations governing the trade.  

NJ Barrier Free Subcode 2025

Revised for 2025, this satisfies the requirement for Licensees and applicants to take 2 hrs in the NJ Barrier Free Subcode.  NJ has adopted the IBC, 2021, NJ Edition for this purpose.  This course outlines the construction requirements for systems to be in compliance with the ADA in NJ.

This 2 hour course on Safety covers safety issues of significance to the alarm, electronic security and locksmith industries.  Ideas are discussed on reducing workplace injuries in the office, while driving and at the job site.  The importance of a safety and health program is emphasized.

Basics of IP Networking

This course is the first in a series of networking courses developed for the electronic security Industry.  It is anticipated that they be taken in order as subsequent courses build on prior course material knowledge.

Means of Egress - Access Control Update based on IBC 2021NJ

This 2 hour seminar will present Chapter 10 Means of Egress Update of the IBC 2021 NJ Edition and 2029 NFPA 72 regarding Access Control Systems.  Electro-magnetic, Electro-mechanical, Delayed Egress, Stairway Locking, Fail Safe vs Fail Secure and fire alarm interface will be discussed.
